Accessibility at Mission 2040
We want everyone to use Mission 2040 independently. Development is therefore guided by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Current testing status
Version 0.3 includes improvements to keyboard navigation, contrast, focus indicators, form feedback and the ability to switch to linear scrolling. Automated and local browser checks are an important step, but they do not establish complete WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.
Scrolling effects
The overlap effect in introductory sections can be turned off on desktop. Interactive sections from the ParaSport Finder onwards, keyboard navigation, smaller viewports and the system's reduced-motion preference use a linear layout.
Known limitations
Full testing with screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA, moderated user testing with people with different disabilities, and live server verification are outstanding. The ParaSport Finder remains a demonstration, not a medical or sports-classification assessment.
